The Duchess looked radiant in the festive image, which appeared to have been taken at Anmer Hall. The family are in full country mode, sat on hay bales in front of cut logs.
Prince Louis wore a dark blue jumper with a blue check collar.
Geroge, on the other hand, wore a brown fleece with a zip and a shirt beneath it.
A body language expert analysed the image for Express.co.uk.
She claimed Kate is “in the power position” as William looks on “submissively” compared to 2019.
She compared the snap to the Cambridge’s 2019 Christmas card.
In that picture, the family is positioned around William who is sat on a vintage motorbike.
She told Express.co.uk: “A lot has changed during lockdown for the Cambridge’s, judging by the body language and styling of their recent Christmas card compared to the one they sent out in 2019.”
Judi pointed to Princess Charlotte’s confidence in the image. “The real revelation in a comparison of posing is Charlotte though,” she said.
“Her pose is almost identical two years running.
“On the outside left, she shows identically high levels of confidence as she does this year, leaning towards the camera and fixing it with a direct gaze and with her arms straight and splayed.”
The expert went on: “The lockdown appears to have created stronger balance and unity for this family unit, with Kate’s rising star in 2020 placing her in the power position this year, with William leaning in towards her fondly and more submissively.
“Kate’s body language illustrates the way she has been the powerhouse of the Firm this year and her confident approach shows how far she has come as a video and online presenter and speaker.”
