Princess Diana tragically died in a car crash in 1997. Before her death, she became a fashion icon for millions around the world with her stylish outfits. The People’s Princess loved her high end fashion, including brands like Catherine Walker and Bellville Sassoon. How can her looks be recreated today?
The $295 (£220) is available for preorder online right now.
Princess Diana loved her chunky knitwear including different patterns, different cuts and different lengths.
LoveCrafts said: “No one should be without at least one Fair Isle jumper in their wardrobe and this picture of Diana at the age of 19, shows how it’s done! Fair Isle jumper, turtleneck and corduroy trousers – it’s the perfect ensemble for a countryside stroll.”
There are similar patterned jumpers on the market, including ones from high-street retailers Zara this season.
For those wanting to purchase replicas of Diana’s most famous outfits, Lead Stylist Supervisor at Stitch Fix UK, Rich Simmons explained that her style is now easier to achieve than ever.
The expert said: “The key aspects of Diana’s style are easy to replicate given current trends; try pleated wide leg trousers with a fitted, high-neck, puff sleeved blouse for an effortless look that can be easily dressed up with heels.
“If you’re looking for more casual attire, try boyfriend jeans from the likes of Lee Denim, a nautical striped tee and Superga trainers for an easy school run outfit.”
Another brand the Princess often sported was Bellville Sassoon, a high end fashion salon founded in the 1950s.
Rich explained: “In the early 80s, Diana’s looks were safe as she took on her new role of attending royal engagements.
“She was often seen in a Belville Sassoon coat and John Boyd hat combo, such as on the day she announced she was expecting her first child.
“Sassoon made many appearances in her wardrobe, allowing Diana to honour protocol, but also brighten the room with a pop of colour.”
These long winter coats can be found in nearly every clothing store during the colder months in a variety of different colours.
