Boost performance and prevent injury
It doesn’t just boost your performance, it also helps prevent injury. “The warm-up phase increases your circulation by bringing blood into your working muscles, helps mobilise and loosen up your joints and activates your muscles,” explains personal trainer Adala Bolto, founder of ZADI Training.
A five or 10-minute brisk walk or jog should do the trick, as will dynamic stretches like walking lunges, sumo squats and high knees.
